Why don't down hill racers use fat bike rim and tire sizes?

What do you ride when 6'9" 235lbs.  Nolan from the MTBR fat bike form rides this.  This bike is a beast.  Notice that is a big fat larry on the front looking so much like a regular old tire.

The rim cut outs are very nice.

Is that a Zinn frame?

I don't know the maker of the original and didn't hear Zinn in the original post but he hacked it himself and re-welded it into the fatbike beast it is now. If only I was brave/skilled enough to cut and weld my old klien mantra.

I looked again it started as an XXL Lenz Lunchbox that he widened to 170mm hub spacing. It has an 05 Dorado fork.

If only you were brave/skilled enough, then... You'd make the world's "best climbing" fat bike? :)
