New brew method

Sweetmarias has a new brew device that Tom said he and Maria have been using for over a month at their home with good results. It is like a big one cup pour through that only starts to drip once it is done brewing and you place it on your cup or theromos. It is a combination of a french press, Chemex and auto drip coffee maker. You get full water contact for a full brew time like french press, you get simple easy clean up with a paper filter of the Chemex and auto drip, you get the great temp control of the water that you don't get with auto drip. And finally Heath's blog tends to match his Nerdoversion with posts about water spigots.

First Farrah died, then the King of Pop and now Billy Mays has died. Is it wrong for me to feel the most broken up over the Oxiclean spokesmans death. From Wikipedia: On June 27, Mays had been aboard US Airways Flight 1241,^[16] which landed roughly when its front tires were blown out. The violence of the landing caused some loose objects in the cabin to strike some passengers. Mays told a local Tampa television station that some of the objects "hit me on the head, but I got a hard head." It is unclear whether Mays' death was related to the incident. His wife noted that he felt unwell when he went to bed that night early at 10 pm. The next morning he was pronounced dead at 7:45 am by a local fire rescue crew.^[15]

An unsuspecting martyr

I know this post is a few days too old to post but when I first saw it it was too early, then work got in the way and then my approach to it needed to be thought out.
Yes I made this Iran green Obama style pic.
In the video I am most struck by her calmness, her eyes following the camera and her hands finally letting go and relaxing as she dies.
The video. It is graphic and made an impact on me, others around the world and on Iran. I hope her death helps the people of Iran live more free and peacefully in the future.

High cadence

These guys are really fast. Not to mention how hard it is to ride rollers without shooting off. 100% concentration and no abrupt movements or you are on the ground. I have never lasted more than about 20 minutes on rollers. To pedal this fast in such smooth control is amazing. Click here for the video.

Microsoft has a new search engine called bing that is a very refreshing alternative to Google. Seems fast the search results seem less influenced by site sponsors.

Anniversary

As of today Susan and I have been married for 9 great years. Great does not mean free of stress especially when married to me with two small girls. Maya has been a total fuss butt for a few days and Susan like a trooper took her into the Dr. at 8pm last night returning home at 9:30PM to find that she was a fuss butt because she had ear infections in both ears and eye stuff. I thought it might just be allergies. This morning Susan woke Maya up and had to pry her pussed over eyes apart then do a water board imitation when giving her the new antibiotic medication. After this crying spell Susan drove Ella to school and then for the next half hour drove to her mothers home while Maya cried in the back of the van. 20 minutes into this I got a call from my wonderful wife. She said "I am going to kill myself and I just wanted you to know before I do that this all started the day I married you." Full of tact and empathy I suddenly realized it was our aniversary and said "It only gets better each year doesn't it?......" Later today I brought flowers and a card by her work.

WWE comes to pro cycling

Darryl Impey who was in the yellow jersey in the final km of stage 8 of the 45th Presidential Tour of Turkey gets thrown by Theo Bos into the barriers.

From Cycling news "Rabobanks track star Theo Bos who is making the transition to road this year appeared to lose balance and put his right hand on Impey's shoulder causing the crash. No action was taken by the UCI commissaires against Bos for his involvement in the crash." Hmmmm?
