Coen Brothers Watching

My last post talked of the new Coen brothers movie "A serious Man" that is being filmed in part half a block from my work. The plot and other info can be found here. Today I got to see the movie being made from about 30 feet from the action. No filming was going on when I watched but I got to see the Coen brothers walking around saying smart artsy stuff. If you have been living in a hole for the past 15 years below are a few of their more popular films. The guy in the center of the pic is not a Marx brother but rather some other director I have been told.
Fargo
The Big Lebowski
No Country for Old Men

That's pretty cool. I see they're filming in Mpls too - I wonder where?

Police Chief: Mr. Treehorn draws a lot of water in this town, Lebowski. You don't draw sh**. We got a nice quiet beach community here, and I aim to keep it nice and quiet. So let me make something plain. I don't like you sucking around bothering our citizens, Lebowski. I don't like your jerk-off name, I don't like your jerk-off face, and I don't like you, jerk-off --do I make myself clear?

Dude: I'm sorry, I wasn't listening.

I'm pretty sure they were filming a couple weeks back at Minnehaha Coffee, near the Falls in Minneapolis. I drove by on my way home from work on a break about 10pm. I saw a tremendous amount of light, cameras, and equipment. I asked the owner later about it and he said they were filming a movie, but couldn't remember the name.

So if your watching that movie and see a cool old school, drive in type place with a soaring roof, that's it!

Last year I was driving home on W. River road in the summer, and saw kinda the same setup. Lots of white trucks, equipment and people milling around. They had all the tree tips painted white like snow. Later I see that setup in a commercial for health insurance!
