Traditional Archery Shoot

I think this is a real archery target but not one likely to be at the 20th Annual Rapids Archery Club shoot on June 19 and June 20.  You will however likely find John, Heath, Steve and I.  Come one come all.  Bring sun screen, lower leg covering, cash, a hat and plenty of free hours to do the course at a relaxed pace.  Three sets of 20 life size three dimensional targets.  North American route, Minnesota route and I don't remember if the third is African or just international animals.  I don't remember shooting at any polar bears.  I love shooting the lion.   Now I just need to get some arrows and my string working.  Link to the clubs calander.

Nicollet Island

Heath asked where the rail bridge pic below came from.  All of these pics are from a Nicollet Island urban hike I took recently.  It was freaky seeing that rail bridge with no track, railing or other danger warnings you would typically see.  It was odd enough that I only took a few steps out on it before turning back.

Here is a flikr link for more info.  Basically it is a eccentric rear wheel bounce bike from burning man.  Not motor or pedals.

My new toy

I am only about two hours in to playing with my HTC Incredible phone that came in the mail yesterday but am already pleasantly suprised that it is surpasing my very high expectations.  My LG dare I had previously seems like it was just a phone and camera with an unimpressive touch screen.   This phone is the first phone I have had that feels like it could really be my do everything mobile device.  The telephone part of it seems to go from its primary function to just one of many ways I can interact and experience the world.  Of course I know that after only two hours of using it to imply it is some kind of wonder device is a little silly.  I can however say that I no longer covet my wifes Iphone.

Bike Snobs book

I am about three days and three chapters in and am really enjoying the read.   Eben has such a nice way of cutting through the BS pretenses of the world and saying things in a fearlessly clear and funny way.

Pugsley ride

I went for a long ride with Pugsley yesterday and found some  new trails.  The pics below are not what I saw but what it felt like.
